そんな作業を繰り返すうちに、最初は何でもない単純な小さな一つの点も次第にその数が増えるにつれて、一つ一つの点の間に一種の法則の様な感覚が生まれてくる。やがて点は集まり動きだし、一つの宇宙を創りだす・・・

Making several small holes, based on my sense, but with accuracy. By repeating this work, the number of spots increase, and each spot, which was just a simple hole, creates an order inside my artistic sense. Soon, these spots gather and create a movement, making a cosmos on the canvas.

A few days ago, I went for sketching into the mountains. The mountain was full of dung of deer that have lost the place to live because of the acid rain. During the time I was sketching, I was bitten by leeches gathered to dung, and while feeling the coming of spring, I also heard the footsteps of destruction of nature.

El otro dia, fui' a las motan~as para dibujar. La montan~a estaba llena de excrementos de venados que perdieron su lugar para vivir despue's de toda la lluvia a'cida. Durante el tiempo que dibujaba, fui' picado por sanguijuelas que se juntan a los excrementos, y al mismo tiempo de sentir la llegada de la primavera, senti escuchar las pisadas de destruccio'n de la naturaleza.

厚塗りでザラザラな画面の絵には抵抗がありました。僕は薄塗り、線描、ぼかしなどの古典的な表現方法で描かれた絵画に美しさを感じ、そこから学ぶものは沢山あるのではないかと考えています。未熟ながら片ぼかしを中心に、それらの技法を生かして制作していますが、薄塗りだと、弱く、浅い絵になりやすくなる欠点があります。しかし、薄塗りでも、深みのある絵が描けるはずです。古典的な描き方で、深みのある絵を描いていこうと思います。

I had some difficulties in accepting the overuse of paint on the canvas. The traditional thin expressions and lines, and gradation are what I find beautiful. Through these classic techniques, I believe there is a lot to learn about Japanese art. Though there’s still much to learn, I use the classical technique “katabokashi” to create my works. There are many challenges such as the painting becoming superficial when using thin expressions and lines, but I try to create profound works by using these thin expressions.

Para mi', la bellesa de las pinturas Japonesas basen en el uso ligero de pinturas y las finas lineas. Yo creo que hai mucho que aprender de estas tecnicas cla'sicas. Aun tengo mucho que aprender, pero una de las te'cnicas cla'sicas que uso es “katabokashi”. Las obras suelen ser superficia'l al usar el estilo cla'sico, pero yo trato de crear obras profundas con el estilo cla'sico.
